2021 Block a Month CAL

2021 Block a Month Crochet Along

For over 12 years a Block a Month Crochet Along has operated on Ravelry forums. This is continuing in 2021, but the moderators want to ensure the CAL is accessible to as many crafters as possible. As such, as one of the moderators, I will be posting details of the CAL squares here, on my blog for this website, and on the Catkitbob_Crochet Instagram page as they are announced

January 2021 Main Square - Hindsight by Polly Plum

We are very grateful that Polly Plum has once more agreed to design a square for this CAL - and what a way to start the year. Hindsight is a pattern that looks complex but thanks to Polly’s round by round photos and written instructions, accompanied by videos for the more unusual stitches, this should be achievable by every maker.

Find the pattern here (links to Polly’s website).

January 2021 members Choice

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

After around 200 votes we had 2 runaway squares that remained tied to the end - so there are 2 options for January. Feel free to hook 1 or both.

Happy New Year by Ineke Mooijenkind is written for a single colour, but works well with more. This one is only available as a Ravelry download from here.

We also have Nomad by Fate by Martin Up North. The samples for this are multicoloured, but there is also a stunning cream coloured cushion on a Ravelry project page. This one is published on the designer’s website here.
