When ordering the refillable advent calendar, a couple of polystyrene wreath forms also fell into my basket.

Fresh foliage wreaths are such a welcoming sign during the winter months, but yarn wreaths can be equally up-lifting, with lots of inspiration out there on how to personalise your own make.

My plan is to make my 2 wreaths co-ordinating, but not identical.

I really like Lucy of Attic24’s idea of the background representing the sky and the ground, so my covering is going to feature blues and greens.

Embellishments will include snowflakes, holly, poinsettia, and hellebore.   Examples of the latter 2 can be found in Lesley Stansfield’s book 100 Flowers to Knit and Crochet.  Whereas I normally like to keep designs symmetrical, florists prefer odd numbers, so I’ll start with 3 of each and see how it looks.
